Icy air sweeps over your face, snow crunches underfoot, and the panorama almost takes your breath away: on one side the view of the Swiss Plateau as far as France, on the other the Aletsch Glacier, lined with four thousand metre peaks. Standing on the Jungfraujoch 3,454 metres above sea level, you can feel it with your first step: this is a different world. It's one you have to experience.

Experiences on Top:

Alpine Sensation (Free Entry, Time required – 15 minutes): A shudder runs down the spine of whoever enters the 250 metre long corridor between the Sphinx Hall and Ice Palace.

Eismeer (Sea of ICE) Stopover at train station: 5 minutes : 3,160 metres above sea level, this is where the train stops for 5 minutes to take their own personal souvenir picture.

The stopover at the Sea of Ice (Eismeer) cannot always be guaranteed (e.g. in the event of a train delay).

Ice Palace (Free Entry, Time required – 45 minutes) : Artists create the ice – with a great deal of flair & visitors will discover their works of art in this frosty world.

Jungfrau Panorama (Free entry, Time required – 5 minutes) : The film provides a 360-degree panorama of the mountain. Race with the camera through clouds, ice crevices & snow.

Lindt Swiss Chocolate Heaven (Free entry, Time required – 10 minutes) : Learn from a virtual Lindt Maître Chocolatier how a chocolate bar is made, and buy delicacies in the shop.

Sphinx Observatory (Free Entry, Time required – 15 minutes) : A viewing point & an International research station at 108 meters, one can visit in 25 seconds by an ultrafast lift.

Snow Fun Park: Snow lovers can refresh themselves and give winter sports a try such as Snowtubing, sledging, Flying Fox or ski/snowboard. Open from mid-May to mid-October

Aletsch Glacier: Claimed as the largest glacier in Europe. A magnificent view of the ice sea. Also a Hiker's paradise!

Top of Europe Shops: There are Top of Europe souvenir shops on the Jungfraujoch, Grindelwald Terminal, Interlaken and Grindelwald First. Victorinox pocket knives, all types of clothing, watches or hand-carved wooden figures represent a small, piece of happiness that you can buy at lofty heights as well as our bestselling magnets, key rings and snow globes. If the mountain air gets too much, you can also discover things in the shops: with warm hats, caps, gloves and sunscreen.

Accessibility & Route:

Old Route:
From Interlaken Ost station to Lauterbrunnen or Grindelwald via the Bernese Oberland Railway. Change to the Wengernalp cable car and go to Kleine Scheidegg. Ride the Jungfrau railway directly from there to Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe.
New route:
From Interlaken Ost railway station to Grindelwald Terminal via the Bernese Oberland Railway. Change there and take the Eiger Express tricable gondola directly to the Eiger Glacier. Journey time from Grindelwald Terminal to Eiger Glacier station: 15 minutes. From the Eiger Glacier station there is a connection to the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe every 30 minutes, depending on season and demand. With a direct transfer option, you will be on the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe and on the slopes 47 minutes faster than before.

Accessibility & Route

Travel directly from Lucerne to Engelberg on the ""Zentralbahn"" railway. The journey from Lucerne takes around 45 minutes. The route from Engelberg train station to the TITLIS valley station takes just ten minutes on foot or you can hop on the free shuttle bus.

Up the mountain
The 8-seater TITLIS Xpress cable car will transport you all the way up from Engelberg to Stand station. You can hop on or off at Trübsee middle station. The TITLIS ROTAIR cable car will then take you on the final leg of the ascent from Stand to the summit station at 3,020 metres above sea level. The journey from Engelberg to TITLIS mountain station takes around 30 minutes.

Ice Flyer is not suitable for children age below 06 yrs of age.
